Come and hang out with local wordsmith Tegan Bennett Daylight as she dives into her latest literary creation, How to Survive 1985, and provided that you've got a good sense of humour about the hairdos and tunes of the mid-80s, you're in for a treat. Imagine four mates finding themselves zapped back to 1985—what are they going to do with leg warmers and cassette tapes? Can they navigate the teenage minefield of mullets and mixtapes, or are they doomed to get stuck in their parents' awkward glory days forever?
In what promises to be yet another heartfelt and insightful tale, Tegan brings her much-loved characters from her first YA offering, Royals, back for a nostalgic romp through the past. This is a chance for them to unravel their roots and perhaps learn a thing or two about how society has evolved. If you fancy a bit of witty banter and some life lessons with a side of nostalgia, pop by and soak it all in. Just remember, it's a free gig, so you might want to reserve a spot to avoid any "time travel" mishaps.
