Every Saturday in November, the chess wizards gather at Katoomba Library to strategise and outsmart each other. Swing by between 11am and 3pm, whether you're a grandmaster in disguise or someone who thinks a rook is just a fancy way to say 'rookie'. All ages are welcome, and if you need a little help navigating the board or learning why bishops can't move like knights, don't sweat it—there's tutoring on offer.

No need to schedule your mental showdown; you can roll in whenever you like. It's a free-for-all on the checkered battlefield, so just pop in and give it a go. You might just find your new hobby, or at the very least, you'll impress someone with your latest chess jargon. The library's where it's at for some fun, brainy banter this November.
