If you're looking for a civilised way to spend a Saturday afternoon, there's a Classical Music and Cocktails event called Baroque Dialogue happening at The Factory Bar in Katoomba on 19 July 2025. Rebecca Daniel and Leigh Birkett, who are apparently quite celebrated in these parts for their musical prowess, will be performing some baroque inspired tunes from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. It sounds like a rather refined affair.

For fifty five dollars, your entry includes a welcome cocktail, so you can sip away while the music does its thing. Once your ears have had their fill of classical goodness, around 3:00pm there will be a gourmet afternoon tea to keep your stomach happy. Also, for those who enjoy a local drop, there'll be special discounts on Blue Mountains Gin Co. bottles. It's pitched as a perfect mid winter escape, whether you're a serious classical music enthusiast or just in it for the fancy drinks and snacks.
