Ever wonder what it's like to be an Italian on Ferragosto and basically shut up shop for the entire month of August to really get stuck into that sweet life. Yeah, they've got it sorted, haven't they. While we can't exactly hand out a full month off work, we are trying to channel a bit of that enviable Italian holiday spirit right here in the Blue Mountains.

So, if you're keen to pretend you're on a long European summer break without dealing with airport queues or questionable airplane food, there's a Ferragosto Long Lunch happening. It's on Sunday 17 August 2025, kicking off at midday, and it's all going down at Fifth Ave Katoomba Retreat, located at 10 Fifth Ave, Katoomba NSW 2780. To join in on this very civilised affair, it'll be 160 dollars.
