Join us for a day of mushroom hunting in the lovely Blue Mountains. We'll kick things off by teaching you which fungi are your friends and which ones are best left alone (seriously, don't test your luck with the exciting-looking ones). You'll also get the lowdown on how to prepare, cook, and store your fungi finds, all while taking home a handy recipe card that'll make you the star chef of the dinner table. And just to sweeten the deal, we'll throw in a delightful forest lunch featuring those lovely little caps. Don't forget, you're welcome to take home whatever you forage, just remember to share with your housemates—no one wants to be the reason someone asks, "Wait, is this even edible?"

We'll gather at Minni HaHa Falls Reserve, where you'll be your own chauffeur, tailing us to the mushroom hunting site. Our car can fit a couple of lucky passengers, but be warned: some of those roads aren't exactly smooth sailing. If Mother Nature decides to be moody and throws in some rain or road closures, we'll cozy up at Fifth Ave Katoomba Retreat for some cooking demos featuring mushrooms galore. Picture sauces, stuffed button mushrooms, pickled treats, and more, all while enjoying a good chat about the great outdoors. Just bring your sense of adventure and a sprinkle of curiosity, and let's have some fun.
