Join us for a delightful day of mushroom hunting in the beautiful Blue Mountains. We're here to help you identify which fungi are safe for your basket and guide you through the ins and outs of mushroom prep, cooking, and storage. And yes, you'll get a handy little recipe card to avoid any kitchen disasters at home. We'll even treat you to a lovely lunch in the forest featuring these savory shrooms, plus you can take home any mushrooms you find. It's like a treasure hunt, but with less dirt and more deliciousness.

We'll gather at the Minni HaHa Falls Reserve, and from there, you'll follow our car into the wild. Fair warning: we'll be navigating some unsealed roads that might make low-rider cars weep, so keep that in mind if you're sporting a fancy coupe. If Mother Nature has other plans and there's rain or unexpected road closures, don't fret. We'll just switch gears and whip up some mushroom cooking demos at the Fifth Ave Katoomba Retreat instead. Think mushroom sauces, pesto-stuffed buttons, pickled delights, and more. So, mark your calendars for Saturday, 12 April 2025, from 9 am to 3 pm, and get ready for an adventure with mushrooms galore.
