Get ready, plant lovers, because Orchids Out West is back from May 17 to May 19 in the stunning Blue Mountains. Picture this: a vibrant showcase presented by local orchid societies like the Blacktown City Orchid Society, Blue Mountains and Penrith District Orchid Society, and Hawkesbury District Orchid Society. It's like a fancy garden party, but instead of scones and tea, you're surrounded by an explosion of colour from all kinds of orchids. Seriously, you might just find yourself thinking, 'Can I take this beauty home?'

And speaking of taking them home, there will be plenty of vendors on hand with an array of orchids for sale to elevate your plant collection to borderline obsession. Each year, the displays seem to outdo themselves, making it feel less like a garden show and more like an orchid extravaganza. You can wander around, Instagramming the magnificent blooms, all while pretending you have a green thumb. Admission is $10 for adults, and the kiddos under 15 can enjoy it for free, so feel free to drag them along as your little orchid assistants. Just remember, they might not be too keen on carrying your new plant treasures.
