Those synth aficionados, Voxneon, are back with their 'Underneath the Radar' show. If you have been wondering where all the classic 80s tunes went, they are unearthing a fair few, including hits from Depeche Mode (twice the fun, it seems), Spandau Ballet, Human League, New Order, and a long list of others like Underworld, Real Life, Soft Cell, Simple Minds, OMD, Pseudo Echo, and Gary Numan. They apparently go to great lengths to get those iconic sounds spot on, using vintage hardware synthesizers and electronic drums, so no cheap knock offs.

Word is their shows are a bit of a production, complete with synchronised video and computer controlled lighting, so it is not just for your ears. If you are keen to relive the glory days of big hair and even bigger synth anthems, or just curious what all the fuss was about, this could be your chance to have a bit of a boogie. It is happening at The Baroque Room, 15-47 Katoomba Street, Katoomba, NSW 2780 on Saturday, 30 August 2025, kicking off at 7:00 pm. Tickets will set you back $39.
